Shipments of desktop displays declined by one per cent year-on-year across EMEA in Q4 2013, according to data published by analyst firm Context.
The most positive gains were experienced in Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, while Central and Eastern Europe declined heavily.
Unit shipments for Western Europe increased one per cent during the quarter year-on-year. Shipments in the UK, Italy and Spain showed positive growth, while sales in France were flat and Germany had a low digit decline.
Shipments in Central and Eastern Europe dipped 12 per cent, influenced by a stronger decline of 18 per cent in Russia.
The Middle East and Africa region recorded a nine per cent year-on-year unit growth, with what Context says were strong sales of consumer-targeted displays across the region.
Multi-Function Monitors decreased by 15 per cent year-on-year across EMEA. However, Central and Eastern Europe saw positive growth of 18 per cent, thanks in part due to a strong performance from LG in the region.
Context data also showed that tablets hit a new sales high in Europe.
