Dell has said that it will outpace the industry, as it expresses doubt as to the state of the global market in the months ahead. The statement comes as the firm nears the end of its staff cull, which aimed to cut 8,900 jobs. The capital freed up from this move will apparently be put into acquisitions.
"For the first nine months of this year, according to IDC, Dell grew a few points faster than the overall industry for our unit growth. We expect for the full year, Dell will grow faster than the industry," said CEO Michael Dell, according to Reuters.
