Dell has expanded its channel presence in the US by announcing retail partnership with office specialists, Staples.Among the Dell products that will be stocked by the retailer are its desktops, laptops, printers, ink and toner. The deal will see the vendor's products sold in 1,400 outlets across the US, as well as on the retailer's website.
According to Michael Tatelmen, Dell's vice president of global sales and marketing, the company decided to go with Staples because of its wide reach among both the B2B and B2C markets in the US, as well as its commitment to customer support.
No timescale has been set for a conclusion to the deal, suggesting that this isn't part of the trial the vendor is running with other retailers. It is currently unclear if the deal will impact the UK wing of Staples.
