D-Link has appointed Gem as a distribution partner in the UK, as the firm looks to push its networking products to the retail market.
The distributor will take on the entire range of home networking products such as wireless routers, media players, digital storage and PowerLine units.
“The appointment of Gem is a key part of our strategy to increase the availability of our consumer products in UK high-street retailers,” said Chris Davies, general manager, D-Link UK & Ireland.
“Thanks to our recent success with ISPs, D-Link’s routers are now in over a million UK homes. This increased brand awareness, combined with the upcoming launch of products such as Boxee Box, 3G devices and our new digital storage range, means we can now truly cater for growing consumer demand for a networked digital home.”
