D-Link has revealed plans for its Big Reward Zone, a dynamic channel program that seeks to encourage resellers and distributors to learn about its products and the networking industry as a whole.The program aims to teach sales staff in bite size chunks and seeks to provide an educational and entertaining way for them to absorb information through mini games, trivia and e-learning.
Every learning exercise completed will earn the user one entry into the ‘Big Prize Draw’, with the chance of winning the ‘Big Prize Fund’ – a pot of cash that increases with every D-Link product sold, while sales staff who sell D-Link products will also earn online scratchcards with 1,000s of prizes up for grabs each quarter.
“The channel has an issue with retaining good people and ensuring that technical knowledge is maintained at a high level. So we’ve developed a programme that doesn’t simply incentivise sales performance; it hinges around knowledge.” said Andrew Mulholland, marketing manager at D-Link.
