Currys has launched an aggressive television advertising backed promotion of a Samsung 3DTV and Blue-Ray package for £999.
The bundle includes the Samsung full HD PS50C680 50" plasma TV, Samsung BD-C5900 3D Blu-Ray player and three pairs of the samsung SSG-2100AB 3D shutter glasses.
“Put simply, when it comes to 3DTV this package offers customers the biggest bang for their bucks on the high street," said Currys Consumer Electronics boss Phil Samuels.
"Importantly, we need to ensure that our customers understand that what they are getting when they buy at 3DTV is excellent quality 2D viewing with the addition of a fantastic 3D cinema experience."
The promotion occurs just as Sky and Virgin have begun rolling out 3D content on their HD offerings with video on demand movies and Sky 3D kicking off 3D sports coverage.
The offer is available in over 450 stores across the DSG network of Currys and PC World stores across the UK and also includes free delivery.
