Sales of Vista Business are on the decline according to a report out from IT market research company Context.The company's figures showed that sales of Vista Business by UK distributors had declined by four per cent from 17 per cent the previous month. In contrast, sales of Windows XP Professional, Vista Business' predecessor, accounted for 27 per cent of total PC in August.
Microsoft, however, has proclaimed that Vista is the fastest selling version of Windows so far across a broad range of customers: "from the individual user and the small business to the largest enterprise customer."
The news comes after Microsoft extended XP's shelf life for a further five months. Another study also recently found that retailers who sold XP and Vista were performing far better than those only selling Vista.
