Aims to: 'widen the appeal of the Den to information economy entrepreneurs'

Cloud computing entrepreneur Piers Linney joins Dragons’ Den

The newest Dragon is one of our own. The latest panellist on the BBC TV show is Piers Linney, co-CEO of Outsourcery, which offers fully integrated cloud-based solutions to businesses, employing 150 people in the UK.

The company, founded in 2007, employs 150 people across the UK and has won Partner Awards from Microsoft in recent years, while Linney has appeared on TV before, on Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire.

Linney replaces Theo Paphitis on the Den panel, and joins fellow Dragons Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Kelly Hoppen – also new to the show.

Linney seems keen to boost the profile of the IT channel, saying: “I am excited to have the opportunity to join Dragons’ Den and once again support entrepreneurs both financially and through my extensive network. I also think I can widen the appeal of the Den to information economy entrepreneurs as they are key to the future success of the UK economy.”
