Sharp has introduced new technology that will bring internet content and remote diagnostics to LCD TVs at the touch of a button. The technology, which is called Aquos Net, is designed to work with Aquos LCD TVs. The technology utilises existing electrical wiring via the use of Sharp's new PLC (Power Line Communication) adapters. The PLC adapters allow consumers to connect up devices, such as TVs, set-top boxes, PCs, routers, and gaming consoles, wherever there are power outlets.
Sharp has also unveiled its second generation Aquos Blu-ray disc player, the BD-HP50U. The new player allows users to experience Aquos Link, which enables integrated and seamless operation between the Blu-ray player and Aquos LCD TV.
