The Carphone Warehouse and TalkTalk are to go their separate ways, with the parent company set to dedicate itself to consumer electronics sales.
According to Computer Weekly, Carphone Warehouse will retain the groups 50 per cent share in Best Buy Europe, and plans to open up a number of electronics stores in the UK and Europe from April.
TalkTalk, which has grown to become the UK second largest broadband provider, is speculated to become a priority acquisition target for mobile network providers or internet service providers.
