Computer 2000 has bought the name and assets of failed audiovisual distributor, Maverick in a deal that will see the distributor strengthen the AV department it set up earlier this year.Maverick, which entered into administration on November 2nd, owed a total of £3 million to creditors.
According to Maverick's administrator, there was a lot of interest in the company, but ultimately C2000 put the winning bid in.
"Not only did C2000 put in the best offer, it also was able to move the sale through very quickly – the whole thing was completed in under 12 hours – which was a key aspect for us," said director of Tenon Recovery, Gareth Roberts.
