Security firm BullGuard is preparing new European expansion plans, following a massive $5 million cash injection from investment firm DFJ ePlanet Ventures. The move will initially see an expansion of the UK channel team, and will also fund a move into Germany.
“Securing this investment will help us expand into our next target market – Germany,” said George Tennet, CEO of BullGuard. “We will also use the funds to further strengthen our position in our existing core markets - UK, Ireland, Nordics, Benelux and Australia and New Zealand. In the UK we will be expanding with a new Sales Director to add to the channel account team. Support and commitment to the channel is a key element in the BullGuard business strategy.”
The announcement comes after the launch of BullGuard Gamers’ Edition and BullGuard Internet Security 8.5 earlier this year.
