BT is looking to leverage its strength in the home broadband market, after it launched a combined fixed line/mobile internet package, claiming it is the cheapest deal available in the UK.
Priced at £15.65 per month, the firm has thrown down the gauntlet to rivals Orange and Virgin Media, citing Oranges as costing £528.48 over 18 months, with Virgin’s package coming in at £435. In contrast, BT claims its deal costs £308.08 over the same time period.
Speaking to Mobile News, BT consumer division managing director John Petter said: "This is the most complete home and mobile broadband for only 56p a day. Now you can use broadband wherever you are without worrying about the cost.
