The Business Software Alliance has named a further three companies it found to be using software illegally as part of its London anti-piracy drive.
Design agency Inca Creative, property advisors Matthews & Goodman and Fortune Assets Management had £80,000 worth of unlicensed products installed on their machines. The three companies paid out a further £20,000 to the BSA in settlement fees.
"These cases highlight the major financial risks businesses in London are running by using unlicensed software," spokesperson for the BSA's UK country committee, Alyna Cope said in a statement. "Our campaign is designed to help organisations avoid penalties, but London needs to set an example."
Late last month, the BSA fined London's Soho House for an undisclosed fee after the body found it to have under-licensed the Microsoft software it was using.
