Brigantia has forecast significant growth for the coming year, as it looks to develop its offering to members and cement its position as an industry standard for IT repairs and maintenance.
In an interview with PCR, the group finance director John Waltham predicted that a new strategy of focussing on delivering more benefits such as support, repairs and upgrades to help businesses drive sales, as well as the development of the Computer Experts brand, will enable the group to boost its membership in the coming year.
As an example of this change of emphasis, he cited the recent addition of the Express Group, which holds a vast stock of original vendor spare parts for printers, PCs, notebooks and servers, as an associate member distributor. More specialist parts distributors are expected to join the group in 2010.
“Brigantia is well positioned to grow and to deliver for all stakeholders in 2010 and beyond,” commented Peter Ashby, chairman of Brigantia owner Radcliffe Interactive Limited.
“The Computer Experts national branding on maintenance and support agreements will see many new opportunities for delivering managed services to both the private and public sectors at a local level. In addition, the joint venture central purchasing hub project was very exciting as it would allow members of Brigantia to become both shareholders and to gain options based on their purchasing commitments.”
