The upcoming World of Warcraft Catalysm expansion will feature a homage quest to PopCap's Plants vs Zombies called 'Peacebloom vs Ghouls'.
Blizzard have apparently been a fan of PopCap's Plants vs Zombies garden defence game for some time and the idea for the quest apparently originated within the Blizzard team. The new quest is set to appear in located in the Hillsbrad Foothills once Catalysm is launched later this year.
Edge reported that PopCap was delighted with the tribute with PopCap creative director Jason Kaplka saying: "PopCap has a great relationship with Blizzard and we've mixed it up before with both Bejeweled and Peggle add-ons for WOW. We also did a series of free WOW-branded Peggle levels on PopCap.com," he said.
Kaplka also revealed that the artist behind the Plants vs Zombies theme song, Laura Shigihara, had recorded extra material for "something special they're doing with the quest."
