Best Buy to swoop for DSGi?

Best Buy is looking to buy out rival electronics retail group DSGi, reports suggest.

According to the Daily Mail, Best Buy’s financial advisors have compiled a list of potential acquisitions in a bid to gain dominance of the UK market, with the PC World owner topping the list.

The first UK Best Buy store is due to open in Thurrock next month, followed by four more by the autumn, creating 8,000 new jobs over the next five years.

DSGi is currently in the process of revamping many of its stores, including creating 60 two-in-one Currys and PC World sites.

What do you think? Could the soon-to-be-launched chain really buy out DSGi? Have your say below.
