Best Buy Europe has announced plans to open its fourth UK outlet in Aintree, near Liverpool.
PCR reported earlier this week that the retail chain had been eyeing up two Homebase superstores.
Best Buy has confirmed it will open four branches in the UK this spring, with the others located in Thurrock, Essex, Merry Hill in the West Midlands and Hedge End, near Southampton.
The Aintree store will be situated at London & Stamford Property’s Racecourse Retail Park, next to the well-known Aintree racecourse.
CEO of Best Buy branded operations Paul Antoniadis said: “This announcement marks a further step forward in our plans to launch Best Buy in the UK this spring.
“The Racecourse Retail Park at Aintree is a fantastic location with easy access by car and train, and will allow us to bring our experience to customers living and working in the North West.”
The global retailer says it will create over 100 jobs at its Aintree store. It operates in countries around the world including the US, China, Canada and Mexico.
