Best Buy may be planning a far more aggressive roll out of stores in the UK than was initially anticipated, with the Financial Times reporting that the US retail giant may be planning to open as many as 200 stores. The figure, which is a long-term target, demonstrates how key the UK market is to the retailer. In comparison, DSGi has around 175 PC World stores and 295 Currys stores.
Carphone Warehouse is set to confirm details such as initial store locations, targets and store format in its trading update this October.
