Best Buy will open the first of its UK retail outlets at Lakeside Thurrock in May, as it begins its invasion of Britain.
More openings will take place in Southampton and the West Midlands in June, the Liverpool store will follow a few weeks later, and a fifth outlet in Croydon is scheduled to open in Autumn. Further expansion is planned, but these stores will form the vanguard of Best Buy’s operations in the UK.
Having originally planned to begin trading late last year, the retail giant delayed the scheme until it could establish a more secure footing in a slightly better retail climate.
