Best Buy Europe has appointed Carphone Warehouse CEO Andrew Harrison as its new chief operating officer.
Harrison will assume responsibility for driving Best Buy Europe’s ‘connected world’ strategy and customer offerings, while continuing to lead the Carphone Warehouse and the Phone House across nine European countries.
Best Buy Europe is a joint venture between the Carphone Warehouse Group and Best Buy.
Scott Wheway, CEO of Best Buy Europe, said: ”Andrew has been instrumental in driving The Carphone Warehouse over the last 15 years and is a leading authority in connectivity technology. He has consistently proven himself ahead of the curve in anticipating the needs of technology hungry customers and shaping the resulting retail propositions”.
Meanwhile, Paul Antoniadis, CEO of Best Buy branded operations, has left the company to explore new business ventures.
