BBC Worldwide has struck a deal with leading consumer electronics provider Apple which will see a selection of the broadcaster’s programming made available for purchase via iTunes.The shows will cost £1.89 per episode and will be viewable on Mac, PC, iPod, iPhone and Apple TV.
"We want to give audiences a wide variety of options on how and where to view their favourite BBC shows," BBC Worldwide’s director of digital media Simon Danker stated.
"With more people now choosing to watch TV shows on their iPods, fans of series such as The Mighty Boosh and The Catherine Tate Show can now enjoy those shows wherever they are."
Already available are the likes of Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, Life on Mars, Little Britain, Spooks and Robin Hood.
