BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has revealed to Bloomberg that he believes the company will sell ‘tens of millions’ of its new QWERTY phone, the Q10.
"We have very, very good first signs already after the launch in the UK. This is going into the installed base of more than 70 million BlackBerry users so we have quite some expectations. We expect several tens of million of units," commented Heins.
Last week, it was revealed that Selfridges would have exclusive release privileges of the Q10, both online and in its London, Birmingham and Manchester stores from April 26-28th.
The retailer has said the BB10 device became the fastest-ever selling consumer electronics product within 24 hours, with initial stock selling out within two hours.
