Acer was presented with the Grand Prix Award at last night's PC Retail Awards, in recognition of a hugely successful year for the firm.
The company, which has achieved particular success in the netbook market of late and is launching a push into the smart phone sector, was celebrated for its exclusive channel focus and support of the trade.
On the night, PC Retail editor Andrew Wooden said "From top-end, high spec PCs, to low price netbooks. Acer has continued to push the boundaries in terms of marketing and innovation. Most notably though, it has truly befriended its partners at the frontline of the business, selling only via the channel, unlike some of its rivals."
The Grand Prix Award was open to finalists across all categories, and was in recognition of not only commercial success but also innovation and energy.
