Asustek complains of Intel shortages

Asustek complains of Intel shortages Asustek's general president, Jerry Shen, has complained of a shortage of Intel chips, in particular laptop PC CPUs.

"The biggest shortage in notebook components is in CPUs, Intel CPUs. Intel isn't meeting demand," he told investors at Asustek's conference.

He said that laptop demand was high, but that manufacturers should be able to cope with demand since the industry is in the middle of its busiest season.
