Asus has unveiled a range of new products at this years CeBIT, including its new e-reader, the Ares GPU and the fourth generation of EeePCs.
The cloud has been a key focus for the vendor, which has developed a number of new devices to tap in to this growing resource. Firstly, the new range of EeePC netbooks has been designed to suit different sets of users, namely social elites, business professionals, everyday mobile internet users and tech fashionistas.
Secondly, Asus has also developed the DR-900 – a nine-inch e-reader with Wi-fi or optional 3G, which is claimed to hold enough charge to enable users to read 10,000 pages on a single charge.
Asus’ Republic of Gamers brand has also received a number of new additions including the Ares graphics card, which Asus claims to be the fastest GPU in the world and features twin Radeon 5870’s working in parallel. Another development is the G51JX 3D, the world’s first netbook to carry an integrated Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision.
The vendor has also set aside part of its display area for a Green Design Product Zone, which showcases the options for those customers who are thinking of going green. It includes Asus’ Super Hybrid Engine notebook and the U series bamboo notebooks.
