Asus has added a host of new laptops, desktops and components to its Republic of Gamers range.
The ROG G73Jh, dubbed ‘The Gamer’s Notebook’, was developed in response to consumer demand for a top spec mobile gaming machine. It comes loaded with an Intel Core i7 processor, DirectX 11-capable ATI Radeon HD5870 graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 system memory, onthe- fly overclocking, 8-channel HD audio with EAX 4.0 compatibility, ambient lighting, and 1TB of storage space.
On the desktop side is the Essentio CG5275. It has Intel Core i5 and i3 processors, up to 12GB of DDR3 memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 graphics, 8-channel HD audio, Gigabit LAN and 802.11N wireless connectivity, along with 1TB of storage capacity and a highly stylised chassis.
The new wave of ROG Matrix series graphics cards come equipped with a ‘Super Hybrid Engine’ for automatic hardware load monitoring and adjustments. The devices also come with the new iTracker2 technology, which adds exclusive memory timing settings and a VBIOS recovery application.
Asus has also launched the ROG Rampage III Extreme – a motherboard designed specifically for gaming PCs. It is based on the Intel X58 chipset and includes RC Bluetooth, allowing users to review the status of their system’s hardware and tweak parameters wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled PDA phone.
