Motherboard vendor ASRock has taken on Yorkshire-based Target Components as an official UK distributor as it looks to increase its presence in the region.
Target currently stocks Gigabyte and Biostar, and from its point of view this deal strengthens its position in the motherboard sector.
ASRock's European account manager, Tim Hioe, said "We are delighted to sign Target as official ASRock distributor. It is unusual to find a long-established distributor enjoying the level of growth that Target have over the last two years, and we believe that our combination of feature-rich boards at exciting price-points can help to contribute to their continued growth."
Target's product manager Glen Rhodes added: "We're delighted to have ASRock on board. We felt that we had room for one additional motherboard brand at this stage, and it was important to choose a brand that offered the right combination of breadth of range, quality products, and attractive prices for our customers. ASRock offer some great product solutions, such as the G41MH-USB3, offering USB3 connectivity at a low pricepoint, and the K10N78SLIX3-WIFI, sporting Triple-SLI capability on the AM2+ platform"
