This month PCR's mystery shopper went to Milton Keynes, seeking tablets for apps and web-surfing, only to find not all stores had them available to try.
John Lewis didn't have working models available to try, while Maplin had them hidden away in a glass cabinet?
Furthermore, of all the stores visited, only Staples tried to encourage an add-on sale - which, when there are keyboards, cases and more available to stock - is a bit of a missed opportunity for increased revenue.
Overall though, there were plenty of tablets on the market to choose from, and the Asus Transformer in particular made a good impression.
