Apple has quietly updated its entire desktop range – including the Mac Mini – quashing rumours of a major launch event planned for the end of this month.Its iMac range retains the Core 2 Duo processor set, but now comes with the faster clock speed of 2.66GHz, 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and Nvidia's new GeForce 9400M integrated graphics. Prices for the 20-inch version start at £950.
Meanwhile the 24-inch model, which starts at £1,200, comes with up to a 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 640TB or 1TB hard drive and the option of either Nvidia's 9400M, the GeForce GT130 or ATI's Radeon HD 4850 graphics card.
The Mac Mini saw its processor boosted to a 2GHz Core 2 Duo and its graphical solution upgraded to Nvidia's GeForce 9400M. The base model costs £500 and comes with 1GB RAM. It can be upgraded to 2GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive.
