Apple is planning to launch a touch-screen netbook in the second half of this year, if reports are to be believed. Dow Jones claims that sources ‘close to the situation’ said the devices will be between 9.7-inches and 10-inches, and that the specifications and functions are still under evaluation.
Many industry analysts have already asserted that Apple needs to move into the lower–priced sector, since it is by far the best performing PC segment, and the current economic climate means its higher priced models could struggle.
