Apple has been named by Which? as the top desktop computer brand, after the consumer magazine polled its readers.
The Mac vendor beat better-known brands such as Acer, Asus, Compaq, Dell, HP and Sony, to claim the accolade. Which? asked its members to rate vendors based on how satisfied they were with the product, how many problems they had had, and how they viewed its helpline.
"Three desktop brands are rated above average for customer satisfaction - Apple, Novatech and Sony," stated the magazine.
Sony and Novatech scored 80 per cent and 79 per cent respectively for customer satisfaction. However, Apple scored more than 10 per cent higher for the same metric.
"Apple gets an impressive 91 per cent in our customer satisfaction measure. It's also rated highly for support, earning a good overall rating. Apple computers are reliable too, with an above average reliability rating," added the magazine.
