A property paper has blown the lid off secret plans by Apple to open a new store in London's prestigious Covent Garden. The Estate Gazette reports that the firm has secured a deal that will see it open a 25,000 sq ft store in former music venue, Rock Garden as part of an initiative to drive regeneration in the area.
The three story store is said to be required to cope with the growing demand for the vendor's products, explained the report.
According to the report, the deal has already been given the green light by Apple's board, and terms have been agreed with letting agent, Capital and Countries.
It will become Apple's third London store, joining its 20,000 sq ft flagship store on Regent Street and its store in Brent Cross.
