Queues began to form outside Apple's new Sydney store, in anticipation of its launch, over 24 hours ahead of its opening today.The store, which is the first to open in the Southern Hemisphere, has seen Apple fans from all over the world including the US and the UK travel to be among the first to enter the firm's second largest store in the world.
"We are thrilled to bring the unique Apple retail experience to Australia," said Ron Johnson, Apple's senior vice president of Retail. "This breathtaking new store will be the ultimate place for the people of Sydney to shop, learn and be inspired."
Apple Sydney opened at 5pm local time (7am GMT).
