Apple OS X use in decline

Apple OS X use in decline
The success of the Ipod and demand for the Iphone has not boosted sales of the OSX operating system. Net Applications, which analyses web-connected operating systems, say that the use of Apple’s OS X dropped 0.22 per cent from January to June.

Net Applications added that even Vista should pass Mac OS X in Web usage share by the end of August, with more than 3.5 per cent of net users using Power PCs while Intel editions were at 2.48 per cent.

Possible explanations could be that Apple users are either not using the Internet, or are using the Windows XP part of the operating system to browse. However, both of these explanations are unlikely, with a small decline in Mac usage being more probable.
