Apple opens second Chinese store

Apple has opened its second Chinese store in Shanghai, and reportedly aims to expand its presence in the country by the end of this year.

According to Mac World, the store has been opened in the Pudong financial district, home to the high rise skyscrapers that have proliferated in recent years, and features a cylindrical glass structure that houses a spiral staircase leading to the subterranean store.

In addition, Global Times reports that Apple aims to open two stores in Shanghai, has plans to open a further 20 stores in China this year, and has raised the possibility of opening another 25 in 2011.
