Research firm, Net Applications, claim that one in ten PCs on the internet will be an Apple by the end of 2008.The firm claims that 7.3 per cent of website visits came from Macs in December, with the figure rising to 8 per cent as the company moved into the New Year.
"Apple's market share gains in December for the Mac and iPhone are impressive," said Net Applications. "However, for the last days of December, the numbers are nothing short of spectacular."
Apple’s recent share rise to $200 has been largely credited to the iPhone, however the steady rise of the Macbook and iMac in 2007 has seen Apple head back into the mainstream of personal computing.
