It has emerged that Apple is increasing its market share in the desktop sector with the firm seeing growth of 26 per cent on 2005's figures, according to Gartner. The analyst firm has put the growth down to a combination of what it described as product design and capitalising on mistakes made by rivals.
However, Gartner has warned that Apple needs to increase its penetration into emerging markets, with sales from India and China only accounting for one per cent of the firm's revenues.
