Apple is predicted to announce strong profits, above expectations according to American Technology analyst Shawn Wu.The firm is due to announce its results later today and is expected to outperform analyst expectations, although only just. "Based on out supply chain checks, we expect Apple to beat its guidance ($7.2 billion in revenue)," Wu wrote in his investors note. "We are modelling $7.3 billion.
"We are looking for 2.5 million Macs, 10.5 million iPods and 705,000 iPhones," he added.
However, Wu expressed worry that Apple appears to be cutting back on Mac production, but noted that it has traditionally presented a conservative forecast.
