Apple bans 1,000+ iPhone apps

iPhone developer Molinker and its 1,000+ apps have been struck down by Apple in an extraordinary ban.

Molinker had over 1,000 apps available on the App Store before the group faced allegations of tampering with Apple’s own in-app review score policy.

iPhones prompt users to rate apps out of five stars, and – according to mobile news site ME – Molinker’s rating had been “faked”.

Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing Philip Schiller confirmed that the developer’s apps have been removed, “and their ratings no longer appear either."

The full story can be read on PCR's sister site Develop.
