VIDEO: Stunning high-end case is almost entirely made of mesh

Antec launches LanBoy Air gaming chassis

Antec have introduced a new top-of-the-line gaming PC case called the LanBoy Air which is almost entirely made out of mesh for the greatest amount of natural air flow.

The LanBoy Air is also largely transparent due to the extensive use of mesh in the panels set within the industrial-looking black and yellow framework. The full-tower case also has copious room for expansion with space for 11 drives and full-length graphics cards. The top of the case features hefty carrying handles allowing the whole unit to be transported to the name-sake LAN party for extra street cred.

"Antec’s Skeleton was universally lauded as the most innovative chassis ever. The LanBoy Air builds on the Skeleton’s open-air frame design, combining it with a familiar form factor and fully modular construction," Antec veep Scott Richards.

"This chassis offers our most avid users the platform they need to push the limits of what they imagined possible in high-performance system design."

When the LanBoy Air was shown at Computex in Taiwan earlier this year for the first time, it picked up a Design & Innovation award for excellence in design quality in the "Components and Parts" category.

The LanBoy Air costs $219.95 or £160 and is available now. The firm has produced a ‘product tour’ video of the LanBoy Air showing the wide variety of configuration possibilities of the case which you can view below:
