AMD has released a 'preview' Catalyst video driver aimed at boosting performance in the Battlefield 3 beta.
After benchmarks recently showed Nvidia claiming the performance crown in Battlefield 3, AMD released a Catalyst 11.10 Preview driver which the firm said boosts performance for Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 Series graphics cards.
The performance boost applies not only to single card configurations but Crossfire configurations also and also enables support for AMD's Eyefinity 5x1 display (portrait and landscape).
AMD described the preview driver as a 'hotfix' and warned that it was provided "as is". You can download the driver here.
