AMD has released new Catalyst 11.4 drivers for the firm's range of Radeon graphics cards.
The new driver set takes the display driver version up to 8.841 and contains a number of game performance improvements including a claimed 15 per cent on Call of Duty Black Ops with anti-aliasing enabled.
The drivers also resolve a number of issues with Windows 7 including a reduction in GPU usage when using Firefox 4 with hardware acceleration.
The AMD Vision Engine Control Center software has also been enhanced with a number of features including task-based display management controls designed to simplify the configuration of displays and settings.
An obvious improvement a long time coming is the addition of a AMD Catalyst update notification function which alerts the user when new video drivers are available.
