Amazon has retained its crown of most visited online retailer in this year's IMRG Hitwise Hot 100 list.
Argos, Play.com, Amazon US and Tesco occupied the next four spaces – while in the top ten, retailers that sell either IT or consumer electronics occupied all but 8th and tenth places. Overall, those retailers made up 23 of the top 50 stores. The next largest area was travel with nine entrants.
The top ranked IT firm was Epson, which came in at 7th in the list. Dell (14th), Apple (17th), and HP (47th) also featured prominently.
In terms of retailers with a primary on IT, eBuyer (25th) came out ahead of multichannel rivals including Currys (29th), Comet (33rd) and PC World (38th).
