Friday saw Amazon's US website shut down for at least two hours after a unknown problem forced the retailer to take the action.The shutdown happened at 6:25pm GMT, with the retailer saying the outtage had been, unplanned.
"Amazon's systems are very complex and on rare occasions, despite our best efforts, they may experience problems," Craig Berman, a spokesperson for the retailer told ComputerWorld.
