Budget tablet is £40 cheaper than Tesco’s Hudl

Aldi Lifetab sells out in 24 hours

Aldi has sold out of its budget own-brand tablet just 24 hours after it launched in the UK.

Aldi partnered with Medion to release the 7-inch tablet, which costs £79.99 and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The device went on sale on Sunday 8th December, with the grocer warning that there was limited stock. Aldi has not confirmed how many Lifetab’s have been sold.

Aldi follows other retailers with own-branded tablets, including Tesco and Argos. Tesco revealed recently that its £120 Hudl tablet has already sold more than 300,000 and it expects that figure to double over the Christmas period.
