AF International is set to launch a range of environmentally friendly cleaning products for games consoles early next year.
The range, which will be officially unveiled at the Paperworld tradeshow in Frankfurt in January, targets users of handheld gaming devices such as the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, as well as home consoles.
The products are part AF’s wider initiative to promote better standards of health and hygiene for games consoles. Included are products for cleaning hand held controllers, and the actual units themselves, along with cables and TVs.
"We have long been advocating better standards of cleanliness in the office environment and the traditional office market has responded well to this", says Ron Jakeman, managing director of AF International. "With the launch of our new, entertainment gaming range, we are able to expand our campaign into the home market with products that will offer dealers and retailers a unique range and value, safe in the knowledge that their choices do not adversely affect the environment".
Each of the products comes in recyclable packaging.
