Muse claims to offer easy web solution for designers

Adobe rolls out new website creation tool

Adobe Systems has revealed the public beta of Muse – the code name for its latest website creation tool.

Muse enables graphic designers to create unique and distinctive HTML websites without having to write code or work within template restrictions. Instead, it aims to set designers free to create what they want, with original frameworks for adding navigation, widgets and HTML to sites.

Adobe claims that master pages, easy-to-use sitemaps and flexible site-wide tools will make creating a website fast and intuitive to plan. Similar functionality to Adobe Indesign gives designers the power to combine imagery, graphics and text. HTML code snippets can be embedded from YouTube, Google Maps and Facebook.

“The ability to build websites as easily as laying out a page in Indesign is one of the most popular requests from our design customers,” said the vice president of Design and Web product management at Adobe, Lea Hickman, “Those who have tested Muse are thrilled that something this intuitive yet powerful is now available.”

Web designers can visit http://muse.adobe.com where they can download the free beta, access tutorials and see a gallery of Muse-created websites.
