Acer’s second quarter net profit dropped 20 per cent, though the firm retains its position as the third largest PC manufacturer.
Taiwan-based Acer said its net profit for the three months up to 30 June 2009 was NTD2.3 billion ($69.9 million), down from NTD2.93 billion ($89 million) in the same period last year.
Consolidated revenue fell five per cent to NTD119.1 billion ($3.6 billion) from NTD124.8 billion ($3.8 billion).
