A survey has found that 31.7 per cent of internet users are still using the Windows XP operating system.
According to a poll conducted by PC Advisor, a slim majority of users are still using the now outdated XP with service pack 3, while another 5.4 per cent never upgraded from service pack 2. The figures narrowly beat the latest incarnation of Windows 7, which holds 30 per cent of the vote.
15.2 per cent of the 1745 respondents still use Windows Vista, while non-Windows operating systems account for just 16 per cent, with 6.9 per cent using Mac OS, 8.1 per cent using Linux and one per cent in the ‘other’ category.
